A community that nourishes creative individuals and empowers them to share and collaborate.

Decentered Arts has an emphasis on immediate, accessible, and in-person experiences. We want people to say, “did you see that incredible (blank)?” “This is happening right now.” “I’m so happy we did that together.”

Classical meets electronic. Spoken word collides with projection and musical accompaniment.

Mission: Build a multimedia, interactive community – live performance, in-person events like salons and workshops, a digital network, content – to connect creators of all mediums, so they can inspire one another and find an audience.

Decentered Arts is a tangible working model that currently connects and amplifies artists of any medium through our live events and personal relationships. However, there is a gap in the local media and publishing community. Many creators can’t find coverage for their work; that limits their ability to expand beyond their own platform. This keeps the arts scene siloed and disconnected. This prevents the Bay Area from summoning a clear artistic movement that meets the current moment, and many people feel isolated. Decentered Arts already builds a welcoming commons and is doing more to built a meaningful and influential community.
